Neryn's store scanner
Neryn checks whether Shopify stores are ready for AI shopping assistants. If you saw
NerynSignals or NerynApp in your logs, this page explains what it
is and how to stop it.
What it reads
Public pages only: /robots.txt, /meta.json,
/products.json, /sitemap.xml, /llms.txt,
/.well-known/ucp, the home page and up to three product pages. It does not log
in, fill in forms, add to cart or check out.
How it behaves
- It reads
robots.txtfirst and skips anything that disallows it. - It makes at most one request per second to a store.
-
It names itself as
NerynSignals/0.1with a link to this page.NerynApp/0.1reads only stores whose owners installed the Neryn app. - It never sends emails or messages to stores.
What we keep
The store's public name, country and product count, the score, the issues we found, and the link to the store's contact page if its footer has one. We do not collect personal data.
How to opt out
Add this to your store's robots.txt:
User-agent: NerynSignals
Disallow: /
We check it before every scan. Until 12 Oct 2026 the scanner was called
ZiraynSignals; a rule for that name still works. To ask a question or have your
store's data removed, email hello@neryn.pro.
